the Columbiettes of St Catherines? We are a sisterhood of Catholic women who see a need around the church and step in. You see our smiling faces in many places around the church. We serve as ushers, eucharistic minister, lectors, and sacristians. You also find us as PSR teachers, choir members, and in other ministries.
We work together , we pray together. We help each other. We have fun together. We laugh and cry together. We support each other. When you share your joy with others, you double each smile and laugh; when you share your pain or sorrow, each tear is cut in half. These are great ladies and I am proud to be one of them. Debra DeVaux, President
We believe it is within our power (with our many programs) to help enrich the community in which we live. We recognize, however, that any successful program depends on people taking initiative, planning to suit specific situations and needs, then implementing the program in the way that works best.
The Columbiettes are a "Catholic, family, fraternal, service organization." This theme permeates the entirety of our activities. We support the "culture of life," believe that senior citizens are a "treasure" to the community, and stand as examples of women in support of women.
Want to find our more about what we do or think you might like to support our efforts? Then please join with us, it is really very easy.
You can track our activities each week through the church bulletin, join us for coffee and donuts in the school cafeteria following the Sunday 9:00am Mass, or drop an email to our President through the "Contact Us" feature in the top menu line of the website.
Reach out any way you care to - we look forward to speaking with you about the difference you can help us make.
Since 2007 the St Catherine of Siena Columbiettes have been working with Knights of Columbus Council 9923 to better parish life and the community that is St Catherine of Siena.
In addition to the many projects we work on with the Knights, our Columbiettes focus many of our energies on the Sheltering Grace a local organization helping house unwed mothers while they are pregnant and for the first few weeks after birth to prevent them choosing abortion. We supply them with household articles, baby items, clothing, food, and other items.
Come join us and see what a difference you can make...
